Just started enjoying my slow cooker again. This is a great idea for training nights. Simply put your meal on after work, head off to training and return to a delicious dinner. One of my favourites is beef ragu. Ingredients: olive oil, 1kg x beef chuck steak, 1 x onion, 1 x celery stalk, 1 x carrot, 1 x cup red wine, 2 x 400g can tomatoes, 1 x cup beef stock, 2 x tbsp tomato paste and fresh thyme. Either cook on low for 6 hours or medium for 4 hours. You can serve with pasta or for healthier option konjac noodles or mash sweet potato. Recipe and photo courtesy of taste.com.au .
